following my bliss
my arms outstretched in the tingling
Process of transformation,
and soon tough legs,
With folded feet,
trail in the sounding vacuum

... but I practice LNT ha!
to relish their work,
knowing that scaling the mountain
is what makes the view from the top
so exhilarating. (D. Waitley)

I was going through a list of bloggers who linked blogkadahan hoping to thank them and check their sites out...
When this shocked me.
Of course, I have to take everything I read with a grain of salt. But knowing how intoxicated some mountaineers get (heck, it was a UP Mountaineer who forwarded an e-mail to everyone about how he/she has become ashamed at how some mountaineers have turned climbs into pot sessions), and knowing how some people can just be jerks... this blog entry really bothered me a lot.
Esply considering that once upon a time, a psycho was threatening to push me off a mountain etc.
All talk, yes. But still not nice... climbing mountains already poses enough risks for danger without having to worry if one in your group...or someone you'd meet along the way, won't take advantage of your exhaustion and trust in the goodness in people.
